Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily housekeeping and laundry operations for the resort.
- Ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet Hyatt cleanliness and quality standards.
- Manage housekeeping leaders, supervisors, coordinators, room attendants, housepersons, and laundry colleagues.
- Oversee scheduling, labor management, productivity, supplies, inventory, and department expenses.
- Cover inspections and follow up on cleanliness, maintenance, and service opportunities.
- Train, coach, and develop colleagues to support service standards and team performance.
- Partner with Front Office, Engineering, and Rooms leadership to support guest satisfaction and operational needs.
- Maintain compliance with safety, sanitation, and hotel policies.
- Support a positive, inclusive, and accountable team culture.
Luxury Standards & Guest Experience
- Develop, manage and optimize the departmental budget, including labor, supplies and operating costs.
- Evaluate workflows and introduce process improvements to maximize efficiency without compromising luxury service.
- Create a culture of accountability, growth and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular training focused on luxury standards, service excellence and operational efficiency.
- Inspect frequently to ensure adherence to brand and luxury quality standards.
- Partner with engineering and other departments to maintain the physical integrity of the property.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of housekeeping leadership experience in a hotel, resort, or hospitality environment preferred.
- Experience as an Executive Housekeeper, Assistant Executive Housekeeper, Housekeeping Manager, or similar leadership role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, room inspections, scheduling, labor management, inventory, and cleanliness standards.
- Ability to lead, train, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
- Strong communication, organization, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
- Financial understanding of labor, supplies, budgets, and department expenses preferred.
- Experience with hotel systems or housekeeping software preferred.
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Physical requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods of time. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varied environments. Ability to lift, carry, and move supplies and equipment up to 50 pounds.
