About the role
The Executive Director serves under the general direction of the Board of Commissioners and will be responsible for planning, directing and managing activities and operations of the Vidalia Housing Authority.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate considerable knowledge of federal grant applications, governmental finance, budgeting, and accounting.
- Clearly communicate the agency’s vision and advocate for affordable housing before public officials, other agencies, and the community at large.
- Demonstrate proficiency with the principles of organizational management, personnel, administration and supervision.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Fair Housing, real estate, disability, construction, contract administration, and landlord/tenant laws.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Public Administration or a related field.
- Extensive, progressively responsible experience in financial planning, administrative management, public administration, or public housing work.
