Executive Director-Supply Chain Procurement

Indiana University Health is seeking an experienced Executive Director of Supply Chain Procurement to lead the strategic, governance, and execution of Supply Chain Purchasing for the entire health system. The ideal candidate will evolve standardized procurement processes, policies, and service levels, oversee ERP/MMIS optimization, technology enablement, and data integrity, and drive continuous improvement while building a high-performing procurement organization.
About the Role
The Executive Director of Supply Chain Procurement will serve as executive owner of procurement systems, workflows, and data governance. This leader will partner with sourcing, contracting, finance, and operational leaders to enhance contract compliance, improve spend visibility, and align procurement with enterprise priorities. The role involves overseeing purchasing for goods, services, and capital, resolving supplier, system, and fulfillment issues, and serving as the final escalation point.
Responsibilities
- Evolves standardized procurement processes, policies, and service levels
- Serves as executive owner of procurement systems, workflows, and data governance
- Oversees ERP/MMIS optimization, technology enablement, and data integrity
- Drives continuous improvement, ensuring PO compliance
- Builds a high-performing procurement organization through talent development and succession planning
- Partners with sourcing, contracting, finance, and operational leaders to enhance contract compliance, improve spend visibility, and align procurement with enterprise priorities
- Serves as the final escalation point for purchasing issues, supplier, system, and fulfillment problems
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Management, or related field
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Healthcare Management, or related field (preferred)
- 10+ years of relevant experience in supply chain management, procurement, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience leading teams and managing complex projects
