About The Role

The Executive Director, RWD Strategic Accounts drives growth of Labcorp’s Real-World Data (RWD) business by leveraging Labcorp’s unique data assets, multi-modal solutions, and clinical expertise. The position leads the development and execution of commercialization strategies, builds and manages a high-performing sales team, and develops strategic partnerships to expand market presence. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with deep experience in payer, provider, financial services, media and advertising, life sciences, and government sectors, with a track record of scaling RWD sales organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Global Head of Client Engagement to define the vision, strategy, and go-to-market plan for the RWD business.
  • Lead all aspects of customer growth, from ideation to full commercialization, focusing on long-term value creation for Labcorp clients and industry stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement strategies to commercialize Labcorp's proprietary data alone and integrated with other data sources, while adhering to the highest standards of data privacy, compliance, and ethical use.
  • Identify, negotiate, and secure strategic partnerships with key players in the healthcare ecosystem, including technology firms, research organizations, financial institutions, payer and provider organizations, marketing and advertising companies, consultancies, and government agencies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the healthcare data landscape, maintaining an in-depth understanding of market trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory changes to guide strategic decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 10 or more years of experience in data commercialization, pricing strategies, commercialization models, and business development.
  • 10 or more years of experience with healthcare data regulations, including HIPAA, GDPR, and other healthcare frameworks.
  • 5 or more years of experience with RWD.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of building and scaling high-performing, diverse global sales teams and mentoring executives at all levels.
  • Demonstrated success in commercializing Real-World Data (RWD) products and driving revenue growth in healthcare, payer, provider, financial services, media and advertising, and government sectors.
  • Strong ability to influence stakeholders, lead customer engagement teams, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed, high-growth environment.
  • Experience selling to payors, providers, financial services, consultancies, government agencies, marketing/media and advertising organizations, life sciences organizations, and other healthcare ecosystem stakeholders.
  • Established industry presence with experience presenting RWD topics and executive leadership roles in sales-driven organizations (e.g., IQVIA, Optum, Datavant).
  • Expertise in scaling RWD product portfolios and developing strategic partnerships or data ecosystems.
  • Ability to deliver internal sales training, market intelligence, and actionable reporting to leadership.
  • Skilled in developing partnership models and account-level go-to-market strategies based on customer needs, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
  • Strong business development and relationship management skills, including engagement with C-suite executives.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a history of leading innovative business initiatives and achieving year-over-year commercialization targets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Master’s degree (preferred).

Schedule

This is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position assigned to a First Shift schedule, with standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST. Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, including earlier, later, or additional hours, with reasonable notice provided when possible.

Remote option with up to 35% US travel.

Regularly work with a computer for approximately 6-8 hours a day.

Pay

Pay Range: $180,000–$200,000. All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. The position is also eligible for bonus and/or commissions under the applicable variable compensation plan. Bonus/commissions are earned based on achievement of performance metrics under the plan.
