About the role
Schedules are monitored to maximize operating revenue and improve patient satisfaction. The role involves managing daily productivity and operations, overseeing staff performance, coordinating activities, leading meetings, ensuring compliance, developing strategies, collaborating with other departments, analyzing data, and implementing corrective actions.
Responsibilities
- Serves as a positive role model by encouraging teamwork and cooperation among staff.
- Manages daily productivity and operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service.
- Oversees staff performance, providing guidance, support, and conflict resolution as needed.
- Captures and coordinates activities and prioritizes tasks to optimize department operations.
- Attends, leads, and facilitates staff meetings to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Ensures compliance with all regulatory and safety standards and protocols.
- Develops and implements strategies to enhance patient satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure seamless patient care and service delivery.
- Analyzes operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field.
- Master's degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of healthcare management experience, at least 2 of which must be in hospice.
- 7+ years of healthcare experience.
- Financial management experience (preferred).
- Formal process improvement training (preferred).
- Program administration or development experience (preferred).
- Project management experience (preferred).
Skills and Abilities
- Broad knowledge of hospice care models and operational models.
- Knowledge and experience in regulatory and compliance requirements for hospice care set by CMS and other relevant bodies.
- Skilled in providing age-appropriate education and patient care.
- Knowledge of healthcare trends and current practices.
- Conflict management and decisiveness, team-centered leadership, listening and negotiation skills, political astuteness, flexible thinking, presentation skills, results-oriented and strategic vision, budget and finance understanding, excellent personal, reasoning, and effective oral and written communication skills, and physician relationships.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills, including team-centered leadership and facilitation.
- Maintains confidentiality of patients, physicians, and department information.
- Aptitude for critical thinking, decision making, and managing competing priorities.
- Leadership skills providing the ability to interact appropriately with all other departments regarding care management and illness adjustment issues.
- Skilled in self-direction and organization. Effective decision-making skills with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a diverse, matrix-management environment to achieve organizational goals.
- Refined presentation competencies and executive-level communication capability.
- Proficient in use of computer software, particularly Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work well with others using tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently; comfortable handling ambiguous situations.
- Ability to organize, delegate, and establish meaningful goals; establish effective working relationships with leaders, physicians, and employees.
- Ability to develop leadership competencies in others.
Qualifications
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS).
- Driver's License (DL).
- Auto Insurance (AL).
- Preferred certifications: Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN), Registered Nurse (RN).

Pay
$127,310.90 - $236,789.66
Schedule
Monday–Friday. Availability and responsiveness beyond regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and participation in on-call coverage as needed.
