About the role

Hospice of Virginia is seeking an experienced and compassionate RN Executive Director to lead our Forest office. This is a meaningful opportunity for a seasoned hospice leader to guide a dedicated team of clinicians who make a profound impact on patients and families during their end-of-life journey.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains positive internal and external customer service relationships
  • Manages the agency’s program through delegation of responsibility to administrative and supervisory personnel according to their abilities and defined responsibilities
  • Monitors methods of program administration, planning, supervising, and evaluating
  • Monitors day-to-day compliance with regulatory and reimbursement requirements
  • Develops and implements administrative policies and procedures
  • Establishes functions and qualifications for all personnel
  • Determines staffing needs and patterns according to program requirements and with consideration for utilization of personnel at their maximum potential
  • Authorizes appointments to staff positions in collaboration with the VP of Operations
  • Oversees compliance with personnel policies and procedures
  • Negotiates and executes contracts with community providers for services and monitors program compliance with contractual agreements

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program (strongly preferred)
  • Minimum Associate degree in business, healthcare, or a related field and a minimum of 5 years related experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory or administrative experience in a hospice or home health setting
  • Experienced in program administration including knowledge of healthcare policies and reimbursement practices
  • Must have reliable transportation, current driver's license, and appropriate auto insurance

Pay

$125,000 - $150,000 per year
