Executive Director, Private Banking
About the role
The Northwest Bank Executive Director of Private Banking will oversee the Private Bank offer, manage a team across various geographies, and interact with multiple business line leaders.
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the Private Bank team in strategic markets.
- Enhance core business metrics and align with annual plans and budgets.
- Conduct market analysis to improve client experience and generate revenue.
- Collaborate with business line leaders to ensure consistent delivery of the Wealth Management experience.
- Create and maintain competitive Private Bank offerings and internal/external marketing strategies.
- Manage pipeline and activities to achieve revenue and budgetary goals.
- Stay updated on markets, investments, and private banking products/services, and competitor offerings.
- Lead internal training sessions on the Private Bank offering and Wealth Management Group products/services.
- Navigate compliance with Northwest’s policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations.
- Utilize Microsoft Office software and other relevant applications to maximize efficiency.
- Participate in talent calibration, succession planning, and compensation decisions.
- Act as a senior escalation point for client complaints, disputes, or compliance issues.
- Identify new client segments or product opportunities, such as family offices, entrepreneurs, and cross-border clients.
- Lead strategic planning around asset gathering, profitability, and client lifecycle management.
Requirements
More than 15 years of financial services experience, with 8-12 years in wealth management and private banking. A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is required, along with a master's degree (MS, MBA) preferred. Licenses and certifications include CTFA, CFP, FINRA SIE, Series 6, and Series 7 upon hire.

- Master's Degree (MS, MBA) preferred.
- More than 15 years of financial services experience.
- 8-12 years in wealth management and private banking.

Skills
