About the role

The Executive Director of Graduate Programs (EDGP) oversees the academic activities of graduate programs in the College of Business (COB), including self-support programs. Reporting to the Dean, the EDGP collaborates with the Associate Dean for Academic Programs (ADAP) and Associate Dean for Faculty Support (ADFS) to create and maintain innovative business programs aligned with the COB mission and strategic direction.

Responsibilities

  • Determine priorities, manage multiple projects, and set deadlines
  • Implement creative solutions to complex problems or challenges
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with various constituencies within the college, across the university, and in the community
  • Develop and maintain relationships with business organizations
  • Manage programs at geographically-dispersed locations

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
  • Five years’ experience in higher education, including responsibilities in admissions, outreach/marketing, advising, and curriculum programming
  • Two years of progressively responsible leadership experience in higher education
  • Experience in enrollment management and academic scheduling for graduate students, including self-support programs
  • Experience supporting activities related to curriculum development for graduate programs
  • Experience with activities related to program review and assessment under the AACSB standards and/or other accreditation processes
  • Experience with technology-supported and online/blended teaching environments and pedagogical approaches
  • Experience working with other academic units, including continuing education/external programs, to utilize faculty and staff resources effectively

Qualifications

  • Earned doctoral or other terminal degree(s) in a business discipline recognized by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB)
  • Knowledge of the most recent AACSB standards and reaffirmation of accreditation process or other accreditation processes
  • Knowledge of budget management and fiscal policy

Pay

$10,000 per month - $10,833 per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm; occasional weekends and evening hours may be required.
