About the role
The Executive Director is the top administrative position of the Housing Authority of the City of Newberry, Newberry, S. C. (NHA).
Responsibilities
- Administer 315 public housing units and approximately 235 Housing Choice Vouchers.
- Report to a seven-member Board of Commissioners.
- Manage public housing, public administration, financial management, and lead in a management role or position of leadership.
- Complete or be willing to complete an Executive Directors Certification Program within one year of employment.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Seven to ten years of experience in public housing, public administration, financial management, and three to five years in a management role or position of leadership.
- Annual salary is commensurate with experience and education.
Qualifications
- Willingness to complete an Executive Directors Certification Program within one year of employment.
