Executive Director IT Infrastructure

This is a 9-12 month interim executive leadership engagement with the potential to join the team full time after the initial contract period. The role supports the Network Architecture and Infrastructure organization.

About the role

The primary objective is to execute the transformation plan, implement organizational changes, establish accountability, improve culture, and stabilize departmental operations. The ideal candidate is a proven transformational leader who can step into a challenging environment, make difficult decisions, drive organizational change, and successfully execute an established vision.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of an existing organizational transformation roadmap.
• Implement recommendations resulting from a comprehensive organizational assessment.
• Drive accountability, professionalism, and operational discipline throughout the department.
• Evaluate organizational effectiveness and implement structural improvements.
• Make personnel, staffing, and organizational decisions as necessary.
• Address performance management issues through coaching, corrective action, reassignment, or separation in accordance with policies.
• Restructure reporting relationships and operational responsibilities where appropriate.
• Stabilize operations while maintaining continuity of critical IT services.
• Improve collaboration between teams and campus stakeholders.
• Establish governance, communication, and decision-making processes.
• Supervise managers, supervisors, and technical staff.
• Manage budgets, departmental priorities, and resource allocation.

Requirements

• Ability to have an onsite presence in Columbia, SC a majority of the time.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $85.00 - $92.50/hr.
