Executive Director, Global Commercial Leader, Cardiometabolic
About the role
The Executive Director, Global Commercial Leader, Cardiometabolic will lead three key pipeline products within our expanding cardiometabolic portfolio, focusing on MASH, obesity, and inflammation. These assets have the potential to become best-in-class products and generate blockbuster revenue. The role involves managing inline diabetes brands and our alliance with Bayer, supporting commercial transformation, and driving innovation in analytics, commercial models, and value creation for patients, payers, and healthcare professionals (HCPs). This position also supports Business Development efforts to foster growth and leadership in the cardiometabolic space.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the realization of the vision and enterprise strategy for the Cardiometabolic, Obesity, MASH, and Inflammation portfolios, while optimizing legacy inline Diabetes brands.
- Lead the commercial stewardship and joint governance of our strategic alliance with Bayer.
- Provide commercial leadership and partner with Research and Development (R&D) to optimize global brand strategies, development plans, and late-stage/Phase 3 launch readiness for product development teams (PDTs).
- Lead the Global Commercial team, ensuring integration of marketing, policy, GMAx, Clinical, and Value & Implementation (V&I) in developing an integrated brand strategy.
- Collaborate with key markets and stakeholders to unify strategy across value evidence, rapid and broad access, launch readiness, and a customer-centric commercial model.
- Support Business Development efforts with R&D and Corporate Business Development to identify growth opportunities and evaluate targets in the CV/Metabolic and Inflammation spaces.
- Work with Early Development Commercial Leads to incorporate commercial insights within the metabolic and inflammation spaces.
- Drive AI, digital, and analytics innovation, focusing on strategy development, optimization, and tactic execution through the commercial team and key markets.
- Engage access and policy teams to identify relevant policy levers supporting portfolio access.
- Maintain collaboration with Manufacturing colleagues to inform short-term and long-term supply chain decisions for a rapidly growing pipeline.
- Partner with the Value and Implementation team to align the real-world evidence plan with pipeline and portfolio priorities.
- Invest in team development, build a culture of inclusivity, and challenge the status quo to drive stronger outcomes during organizational growth.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in marketing, sales, market access, or related roles within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries, including Obesity, Metabolism, Cardiovascular, and payer experience.
- Launch and pipeline strategy experience is preferred.
- Proven track record of high-performance launches and driving business results.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage innovation to drive results.
- Strong collaboration skills within commercial teams and cross-divisionally, including R&D and manufacturing.
- Ability to clearly articulate messages across the enterprise, including senior leadership.
- Understanding of the drug development process (early and late stage).
- Proven ability to manage complex data, insights, and create patient- and customer-centric strategies.
- Ability to challenge the status quo and drive initiatives forward.

Pay
The salary range for this role is $255,800.00 - $402,700.00. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business needs. The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
