Executive Director, Global Commercial Leader, Cardiometabolic
We are building an industry-leading cardiometabolic & neuroscience business to impact devastating diseases on a global scale. This role leads three key pipeline products in our expanding cardiometabolic portfolio—MASH, obesity, and inflammation—with potential to become best-in-class, blockbuster assets. The Global Commercial Leader will also manage inline diabetes brands and our alliance with Bayer, driving commercial transformation, advanced analytics, and new commercial models to create value for patients, payers, and healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the vision and enterprise strategy for Cardiometabolic, Obesity, MASH, and Inflammation portfolios while optimizing legacy inline Diabetes brands.
- Lead commercial stewardship and joint governance of our strategic alliance with Bayer.
- Partner with Research and Development (R&D) to optimize global brand strategies, development plans, and Phase 3 launch readiness.
- Ensure integration of marketing, policy, GMAx, Clinical, and Value & Implementation teams into an integrated brand strategy.
- Collaborate with key markets and stakeholders to unify strategy around value evidence, access, launch readiness, and customer-centric models.
- Support Business Development efforts with R&D and Corporate Business Development to identify growth opportunities in CV/Metabolic and Inflammation spaces.
- Incorporate commercial insights into early asset development within metabolic and inflammation spaces.
- Drive AI, digital, and analytics innovation to optimize strategy and execution at the local country level.
- Engage access and policy teams to identify levers supporting portfolio access.
- Maintain collaboration with Manufacturing to inform supply chain decisions for a rapidly growing pipeline.
- Partner with the Value and Implementation team to align real-world evidence plans with pipeline priorities.
- Build a culture of inclusivity, challenge the status quo, and invest in team development to strengthen outcomes during organizational growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years combined experience in marketing, sales, market access, or related roles within pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries, with expertise in Obesity, Metabolism, Cardiovascular, and payer experience.
- Launch and pipeline strategy experience preferred.

- Strong collaboration skills across commercial, R&D, manufacturing, and value & implementation teams.
- Excellent communication skills, including articulating messages to senior leadership.

- Ability to challenge the status quo and drive initiatives forward.
- Adaptability, brand management, business development, market access strategies, pharmaceutical marketing, product management, and results-oriented mindset.
Pay
The salary range for this role is $255,800 to $402,700. An employee’s position within the range will be based on education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business needs. The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
