Executive Director – Fort Mill, SC
About the role
The Housing Authority of Fort Mill, SC seeks an Executive Director to oversee all operations and activities of the Offices of Affordable Housing. This includes managing 141 RAD PBRA units, 158 Housing Choice Voucher allocations, and a non-profit that oversees low-income properties and 811 PRAC units.
Responsibilities
- Advising the Board of Commissioners or Directors on each housing program's performance and developing policies and programs.
- Oversight of daily operations, including addressing personnel issues and ensuring compliance with governing rules and regulations.
- Maintaining relationships with federal, state, and local officials.
- Overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely data submission and procurement of necessary services or supplies.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Financial Management, Social Work, or a closely related field.
- Additional course work and experience in business and/or public administration.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in financial management and program administration, preferably in assisted housing, homeownership, and related programs.
- Significant supervisory experience.
- Experience writing and administering grant-funded initiatives.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Dedicated attention to detail.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a strong background in business and public administration, with a focus on financial management and program administration. Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations is preferred.
Skills
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and communication skills are essential. The ability to manage complex financial operations and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders is crucial.
