About the role
The Executive Director of Education Initiatives is responsible for the design and scaling of industry-integrated educational initiatives across IE School of Science & Technology. The role bridges academia and industry by developing innovative learning experiences that connect students, faculty, and corporate partners through applied education.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of industry-connected educational initiatives that enhance student employability and learning outcomes.
- Develop and manage executive education initiatives tailored to the needs of companies and professionals.
- Support curriculum innovation by integrating experiential learning opportunities into academic programs.
- Identify emerging trends in higher education and industry to propose new educational formats and learning experiences.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, industry leaders, and delivery partners.
- Coordinate corporate participation in academic activities, including guest lectures, company projects, mentoring, innovation challenges, and networking events.
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of education initiatives, ensuring quality, efficiency, and alignment with institutional objectives.
- Develop project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Cross-functional teams including faculty, operations, marketing, admissions, careers, and external partners.
- Establish performance indicators, monitor outcomes, and prepare reports to evaluate program effectiveness and impact.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful program delivery.
- Lead the design and delivery of high-impact experiential learning activities, including Hackathons, Innovation Challenges, Corporate Immersion Experiences, Executive Workshops, Industry Events and Conferences, and Applied Learning Projects in collaboration with partner organizations.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Education, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of five years of experience in higher education, executive education, or learning and development.
- Proven experience managing complex educational programs or cross-functional projects.
- Demonstrated success in developing and managing strategic partnerships with corporate organizations.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
