Executive Director Decision Support
About the role
The Executive Director of Decision Support oversees the Decision Support function and team, the Cost Accounting System, Service Line profitability reporting, annual service demand budgets, pro forma valuation of new services, and decision support system integration of clinical and financial data in a patient-centric repository. This role develops and implements strategic and tactical tools, resources, and analytical support to enable financial decision-making for the entire health system.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements strategic and tactical tools, resources, and analytical support to enable financial decision-making for the entire health system.
- Serves as the single source of data analysis and reporting, creating, managing, and continuously improving models that allow leadership to look at data across business entities and business lines.
- Supports the financial integration of data for St. Joseph’s Health and acts as the expert in collecting, organizing, and analyzing critical data.
- Builds, manages, and elevates programs that advance organizational goals and mission.
- Works with external consultants and internal project groups to support the organizational strategy for business growth.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Healthcare Management is strongly encouraged.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 7+ years of management, financial planning, budgeting, data analysis, strategy development, and stakeholder engagement experience required.
- Three years of experience leading teams.
- Experience with a Health Care System, including Academic Medical Center highly desired.
- Proven track record of building, managing, and elevating programs that advance organizational goals and mission required.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, business planning, ROI and P&L development is necessary.
- Knowledge of and experience working with the Oracle ERP and HCM systems, Kaufman Hall cost accounting, and additional associated accounting software is highly desired.
Qualifications

The salary range to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc.” The salary range does not include incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation.
