Core Job Functions
- Ensures that all patient, physician, and staff complaints are appropriately addressed in accordance with University policies.
- Maintains oversight of the activities and operations of the assigned units to ensure goals and objectives are met.
- Develops system-wide policies and procedures, ensuring best practices and consistent high-quality care.
- Optimizes staffing models, patient throughput, and satisfaction, and ensures efficient use of exam room resources.
- Implements new programs to create innovative approaches to care and establish best practices.
- Oversees compliance with regulatory agencies and professional organizational standards.
- Oversees, mentors, trains, motivates, and evaluates department staff.
- Plans for future growth by assessing existing and future program needs, establishing priorities, and identifying fiscal and human resources for development.
- Participates in planning, promoting, and conducting organization-wide performance improvement activities for areas of responsibility.
- Ensures internal control oversight and compliance with laws and regulations, safeguarding of assets, compliance with University policies and procedures, reliability of internal and external reporting, and efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
- Creates an effective control environment, conducts risk assessments, implements and monitors controls.
Department Specific Job Functions
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develops and executes operational strategies that support the Tamer Institute for Women's Health's mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
- Collaborates with executive leadership, medical directors, and department chairs to establish short- and long-term goals for women's health services.
- Identifies opportunities for program expansion, market growth, and service optimization.
- Led strategic initiatives focused on improving access, patient experience, quality outcomes, and operational efficiency.
- Supports the development of new women's health programs, facilities, technologies, and care models.
- Clinical Operations Management:
- Provides oversight of daily operations for all clinical programs within the Institute for Women's Health, including but not limited to: Obstetrics and Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynecology and Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Breast Health Services, Women's Primary Care, Menopause and Healthy Aging Programs, Specialty Women's Health Clinics.
- Ensures effective patient flow, scheduling, capacity management, and clinic productivity.
- Maintains operational performance metrics and implements corrective actions as needed.
- Standardizes processes and promotes best practices across departments and sites.
- Quality, Safety, and Regulatory Compliance:
- Collaborates with clinical leadership to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and clinical quality.
- Maintains monitoring of quality indicators, patient satisfaction scores, and outcome measures.
- Safeguards compliance with federal, state, accreditation, and organizational requirements.
- Supports risk management and patient safety initiatives.
- Financial Management:
- Develops, manages, and monitors departmental operating and capital budgets.
- Ensures responsible stewardship of financial resources while meeting performance targets.
- Analyzes financial and operational data to improve productivity, efficiency, and revenue performance.
- Identifies opportunities for cost reduction and resource optimization without compromising quality.
- Physician and Provider Partnership:
- Builds strong collaborative relationships with physician leaders, advanced practice providers, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Supports physician engagement, recruitment, retention, and succession planning efforts.
- Facilitates alignment between clinical and operational priorities.
- Serves as a trusted operational advisor to women's health leadership.
- Workforce Leadership:
- Leads, mentors, and develops clinical and administrative management teams.
- Fosters a culture of accountability, collaboration, diversity, inclusion, and continuous improvement.
- Supports workforce planning, talent development, employee engagement, and retention strategies.
- Promotes leadership development and succession planning across the institute.
- Performance Improvement and Innovation:
- Champions Lean, Six Sigma, or other performance improvement methodologies.
- Utilizes data analytics to drive operational decision-making and performance improvement.
- Leads initiatives focused on enhancing patient access, throughput, efficiency, and care coordination.
- Evaluates emerging healthcare trends and innovative models of care relevant to women's health.
- Community and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Represents the Tamer Institute for Women's Health in organizational committees, community partnerships, and external collaborations.
- Supports outreach efforts that advance women's health awareness and access to care.
- Collaborates with marketing, philanthropy, research, and academic partners to support institute objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required.
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience required.

- Strategic Alignment: Skilled in aligning departmental goals with enterprise-wide strategy and developing comprehensive strategic plans.
- Financial Management: Ensures fiscal responsibility and optimizes financial performance.
