Executive Director

Location: The Ashford of Sturbridge, 3700 Sturbridge Court, Hillard, Ohio

About the role

As the Executive Director at the Ashford on Broad, you will oversee and ensure the operations of the community, providing an exceptional place for seniors to live. The community is operationally sound, recently renovated, and situated in an improving neighborhood near Whitehall. You will lead a team of department leaders responsible for clinical care, culinary services, sales, maintenance, customer service, and resident satisfaction. Your leadership will foster an inclusive and engaging environment for both staff and residents.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall operations of the community, including financial health, regulatory compliance, vendor relations, and performance toward key performance indicators.
• Provide oversight to all departments: nursing, office operations, culinary, sales, maintenance, and life enrichment.
• Ensure high-quality service for seniors, including maintaining the community, providing excellent culinary service, engaging activities, and a caring nursing staff.
• Address resident relations issues promptly and maintain strong communication with seniors, their families, and outside partners.
• Develop and foster an inclusive and engaging work environment.
• Ensure the community is adequately staffed and meets budgeted occupancy levels.
• Prepare annual budget projections, financial forecasting, and achieve goals related to key performance indicators.
• Market the community to maintain adequate occupancy.
• Complete reports required by government agencies, administrators, or the company.
• Maintain the community to company standards.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator OR meet at least one of the following criteria:
  • 3,000 hours of direct operational responsibility for a senior housing facility, health care facility, residential care facility, adult care facility, or group home licensed by the state.
  • 100 credit hours of post-high school education in gerontology or health care.
  • A bachelor’s degree.
  • A licensed health care professional (e.g., Occupational or Physical Therapist, Physician, Physician’s Assistant, RN or LPN, Social Worker). Full list here.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Executive Director, leading an assisted living, memory care, or skilled nursing community.
• Proven experience implementing and fostering a culture of operational excellence.
• Demonstrated ability to lead successful teams and deliver results that create great communities for seniors.
