Executive Director/General CounselOrlando We are partnering with a mission-driven organization that is seeking an Executive Director / General Counsel to serve as the senior administrative leader and chief legal advisor. This role oversees all administrative operations, provides strategic legal guidance, and drives organizational effectiveness across a complex governmental environment. Must be comfortable exercising significant independent judgment and serving as a member of the executive leadership team. Key ResponsibilitiesLead agency‑wide administrative, operational, and legal strategy.Advise executive leadership on legal, regulatory, employment, ethics, procurement, and public‑records matters.Oversee civil litigation, administrative proceedings, and legal disputes.Direct fiscal management, budgeting, HR, facilities, procurement, grants, risk management, records, and MIS.Supervise senior managers across multiple administrative divisions.Ensure compliance with federal and state information‑security and regulatory requirements. QualificationsJ.D. and active bar membership (Florida preferred).7–10+ years of progressive leadership experience in government, legal administration, or public administration.Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and organizational skills.Strong background in budgeting, personnel management, strategic planning, and organizational leadership.Demonstrated ability to manage complex operations and high‑priority initiatives.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Comfortable operating in a high-pressure environment with significant responsibility.
