Executive Director
Position Summary
Responsible for day-to-day operations of the community. Assures compliance with all laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Oversees property management, Employee Partner administration, and provision of Resident Services. Promotes the company's mission and philosophy.

Position Responsibilities
Resident Services: Assures implementation of policies and procedures relating to Resident care. Supervises and assists in provision of all Resident services, including coordination of ancillary health care providers. Conducts assessments, negotiates service plans, develops service schedules, and updates service information as needed. Ensures timely assessments and charges Residents according to assessments. Assists Residents in self-governance through Resident council and committee meetings. Acts as an advocate for Residents and communicates with designated agents as requested. Ensures quality of Resident services and maintains high customer satisfaction.
Employee Partner Administration: Recruits, interviews, hires, supervises, evaluates, and disciplines Employee Partners. Assures availability of qualified, appropriately trained Employee Partners. Coordinates and assists in orientation and training of Employee Partners. Administers wages/benefits, ensures accuracy of records, and approves payments. Assures Employee Partners adhere to policies and procedures, work, safety, and administrative rules. Ensures compliance with relevant regulations (OSHA, Wage & Hours, FMLA, etc.). Maintains a professional demeanor with all Employee Partners.
Sales/Marketing: Develops and implements sales/marketing plans with the President of SSL Management Company and Sales Team. Develops and maintains a favorable public image. Participates in community organizations for the promotion of the community and SSL. Provides external marketing efforts on a weekly basis. Meets sales/marketing goals or adjusts plans accordingly to achieve occupancy targets.
Property Management: Coordinates community, Resident units, common areas, and adjacent grounds with the Maintenance Director. Operates with resources provided, controls income and expenses using annual budget projections, maintains financial records, delivers and collects Resident invoices, and ensures proper use of equipment/supplies. Maintains and provides data as requested. Will be on call; arranges appropriate coverage when absent from the community or unavailable to respond to emergencies.

Administrative Responsibility: Administers, coordinates, and directs all activities in accordance with policies and procedures. Assures safety and security of community's contents and inhabitants (Residents, Employee Partners, and visitors). Assures proper use of equipment/supplies. Maintains and provides all data as requested, required. Will be on call; arranges appropriate coverage when absent from the community or unavailable to respond to emergencies. Assures prompt correction of adverse findings by company Quality reviews or state surveyors and remains compliant.

Ability to maintain accurate records and provide information as requested and required.
Ability to communicate proficiently in English, verbally and in writing.
Ability to work flexible hours to meet requirements of the job and be on call.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, 30 pounds regularly.
Maintains car in good working order, current driver’s license in good standing and auto insurance meeting company minimums is current.
CPR certified.
Ability to teach/train others effectively.
Training and Experience
Experience in managing a program or community for older adults preferred.
One year of supervisory experience required.
Knowledge of an interest in working with older adults required.
Holds a current CPR Certificate or can obtain a CPR Certificate within 90 days of being hired.
Education: High school diploma required. College credits or degree preferred or sufficient education to satisfy state experience requirement.
Maintain CPR/First Aid Certification.
Attendance at mandatory in-service training.
Meets continuing education requirements on job classification and position.
