About the role
Lori Jean Kinsey, Executive Director, is set to retire later this year. Tin Mountain Conservation Center is seeking a new Executive Director to continue the organization's mission and vision.
Responsibilities
- Lead the organization in achieving its mission and vision
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance environmental education and conservation efforts
- Oversee community nature programs, environmental education, summer and winter camps, conservation research, and sustainability initiatives
- Ensure the organization remains financially stable and sustainable
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including members, donors, and partners
Requirements
- A strong background in environmental education and/or conservation
- Experience leading organizations and managing budgets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate teams
- Commitment to the mission and values of Tin Mountain Conservation Center
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (environmental science, education, etc.)
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in environmental education or related field
- Experience in fundraising and grant writing
- Knowledge of local and national environmental issues

Pay
The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is flexible, but includes regular office hours and occasional evening and weekend commitments.

We've partnered with the Mount Washington Observatory to bring a live Mesonet weather station right to our campus. Access real-time, highly detailed weather data from Tin Mountain.
