About the Role

The Executive Director is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategic development, operational excellence, and financial sustainability of an Inpatient/Residential treatment facility. This role requires a visionary leader who can inspire a collaborative and client-centered environment while maintaining the highest standards of care and fostering organizational growth.

Responsible for the overall performance of the treatment facility, ensuring operational excellence, outstanding employee leadership, and financial sustainability. Dedicated to promoting an inclusive and culturally competent work environment as well as creating a welcoming atmosphere within the IP/Res Programs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee onsite day-to-day operations of assigned programs and analyze Key Performance Indicators to ensure the embodiment of organizational values of access to care and clinical quality.
  • Collaborate with Senior Regional Director to identify areas of improvement within programs and develop solution-focused plans of action.
  • Partner with Human Resources to lead the team and establish a trusting and productive department, including carrying out essential HR functions for direct reports (e.g., hiring, annual reviews, performance management, and personnel improvement plans).
  • Ensure compliance with systems, policies, and procedures in each program.
  • Ensure programs comply with regulatory agencies, accrediting bodies, and requirements of third-party payers.
  • Meet or exceed monthly census goals for PHP/IDP, IOP, and OP program areas.
  • Maintain high standards of timeliness, accuracy, and quality in provider documentation.
  • Achieve high levels of client satisfaction by delivering exceptional care, actively monitoring outcomes, and implementing innovative treatment approaches.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with staff through clear communication, leadership development, and a supportive work environment.
  • Oversee clinical operations, ensuring billable hour targets, client feedback integration, and overall staff performance meet excellence standards.
  • Make strategic decisions on hiring, program expansion/contraction, and staffing models to balance client demand with financial goals.
  • Manage new client inquiries, waitlists, and overall program census to maximize service delivery and site efficiency.
  • Ensure comprehensive oversight of treatment programs, including co-occurring specialties and innovative therapeutic models, to achieve client and financial objectives.
  • Provide direction, coaching, and support to the leadership team, ensuring alignment with site goals and performance measures.
  • Maintain a small caseload, if licensed as a clinical therapist, to stay connected to the client experience and ensure the ongoing relevance of clinical services.
  • Provide clinical supervision in accordance with licensure, contributing to staff development and quality care, as needed.
  • Participate in clinical/administrative on-call rotation within the facility, as needed.
  • Other responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

Education Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a behavioral science field such as Social Work (MSW), Clinical Social Work (CSW), Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), Licensed Professional Counseling (LPC), or a closely related discipline is required.

Licensure Requirement

  • Active Independent licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or equivalent is required.

Professional Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of management experience in the healthcare industry, required.
  • Eating Disorder experience, highly preferred.
  • Experience in individual and family psychotherapy, required.
  • Board-approved clinical supervisor, highly preferred.
  • Eating Disorder Certification, highly preferred.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and authorization to drive company vehicles, required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (within 30 days of hire), required.

Schedule

1.0 FTE (40 hours/week), working Monday through Friday approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. On-call and holiday rotation coverage needed.

Pay

Executive Director Starting Salary Range: $130,000 - $160,000. Final compensation offered will be within the pay range based on qualifications and experience.
