Duties/Responsibilities
- Serve as lead educational administrator of Envision Science Academy
- Uphold and advance the school mission, ensuring accountability from all stakeholders
- Reports to and maintains direct, transparent line of communication with Board of Directors
- Supervise budget, fundraising, and resource development
- Maintain school compliance with policies, regulations, and procedures of federal, state, local, and charter entities
- Provide curriculum and instructional leadership to maximize student achievement
- Provide strategic leadership, coaching, and professional development to a high-performing leadership team, ensuring excellence in academic achievement, financial management, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder relations
- Foster positive and cooperative team atmosphere
- Set and enforce clear, high expectations for all staff
- Manage fair and consistent discipline system to ensure safe and orderly environment for academic success
- Model behavior for achieving a positive and engaging school culture, leading with a unified voice
- Provide evidence-based feedback that improves individual leadership and overall school success
Requirements
- 10+ years of administrative leadership experience in various school settings
- Charter school experience
- Evidence of successful teaching experience of students with varied learning styles and levels of mastery
- STEM/STEAM background
- Experience in marketing and student recruitment, and ability to maintain full enrollment
- Experience with planning and successful execution of project-based learning
- Successful and proficient in budgeting and sound fiscal management for public schools
- Evidence of successful school operation
- Use of community partnerships to propel school mission
- Experience in motivating school personnel to achieve goals and objectives
- Experience in performance management: specifically providing timely and specific instructional improvement feedback to facilitate organizational accountability
- Ability to implement, evaluate, and adjust data-informed plans for school, programs, and instructional improvement for all students

- Knowledgeable about Common Core State Standards and NC Essential Standards
- Familiar with policies, regulations, and procedures for charter schools
- Ability to effectively solve challenging problems through positive, collaborative approach
- Willingness to obtain continuing education as needed to perform well in the position
- Innovative leader who maintains a relentless focus on student learning and well-being
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite
- Technologically savvy with iPad, Apple TV, laptops, etc.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and team-building skills
- Drive enrollment, retention, and reputation initiatives
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Willing to travel if necessary (less than 10%)
Education/License Requirements
- Master's degree in Education
