Executive Director
Position Overview
The North Central Minority Supplier Development Council (NCMSDC) is seeking a strategic and results-driven Executive Director to lead the organization’s operations, financial sustainability, stakeholder engagement, and long-term growth. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, this leader will oversee organizational strategy execution, membership growth, corporate partnerships, fundraising, and operational performance while advancing opportunities for Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs). The Executive Director will serve as the chief ambassador for the organization, building strong relationships with corporate members, sponsors, community partners, government agencies, and minority-owned businesses. This role offers a pathway to President & CEO within 12–24 months based on performance and organizational impact.
Qualifications & Requirements
Strong business and financial leadership experience, including budgeting, forecasting, revenue generation, and operational oversight
Proven success driving organizational growth through partnerships, sponsorships, membership development, and fundraising
Experience working effectively with Boards of Directors and governance structures
Demonstrated ability to translate strategic plans into measurable organizational outcomes
Strong operational management and performance improvement experience
Experience establishing KPIs, dashboards, and accountability systems
Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to engage corporate executives, procurement leaders, sponsors, government agencies, and community organizations
Experience developing, mentoring, and leading high-performing teams
Strong communication, executive presence, and organizational leadership skills
Commitment to mission-driven leadership balanced with financial sustainability
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day operations and strategic execution of NCMSDC initiatives
Drive revenue growth through sponsorships, memberships, grants, and partnerships
Strengthen corporate and community relationships across the five-state region
Work closely with the Board of Directors to implement strategic priorities
Oversee organizational budgeting, financial planning, and resource stewardship
Build and maintain a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement
Support Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) certification, development, advocacy, and business growth initiatives
Track and report organizational performance metrics and outcomes
Represent NCMSDC as a regional leader in supplier diversity and economic development
