Executive Director
Operational Management
Provide operational oversight necessary to lead HFHSCC through its annual cycles of land acquisition, homeowner selection, fundraising, construction, volunteer management, ReStore management, board engagement and growth.
Resource Development
Cultivate donor relationships and oversee all communication efforts to create a high-level of donor engagement. Create and help manage multiple sustainable funding sources. These sources will include public, corporate, and individual donors including several large federal grants. Provide oversight for fundraising events.
Leadership in Community
Represent HFHSCC throughout the community and serve as a key ambassador for the organization consistently and positively representing the organization and its mission to all stakeholders. Develop, enhance, and maintain productive relationships with all community constituents, policymakers, and media sources. Lead staff to develop an effective and consistent communications strategy and annual marketing plan. Lead the staff in marketing efforts to attract and maintain relationships in the community and a strong donor base while effectively marketing HFHSCC. Advocate for and lead affordable housing efforts at the local, state and national levels.
Steward Our Assets
Oversee management of the organization’s finances. Review all aspects of the organization’s accounting procedures, financial budgeting, financial reporting, and performance analysis. Keep team on track with financial plan. Keep Board informed of efforts to ensure HFHSCC financial resources are stewarded with care and financial expertise.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-10+ years professional experience with at least 5 years’ leadership experience in a senior manager, executive director or executive team member position.
- Non-Profit Leadership preferred but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree is required; MBA or related graduate degree is highly desirable.
- Significant related experience may substitute for a bachelor’s or higher degree.
- Strong passion for the HFHSCC mission and a commitment to diversity and inclusion in the community as well as support for faith relationships and a commitment to service.
- Past success working with a Board of Directors with the ability to nurture existing board member relationships is helpful.
- Proven track record in building relationships and securing funds as well as directing donor development. This includes knowledge of and success in attracting individual donors, securing corporate gifts and navigating foundation and government resources.
- Experience managing and motivating a team and developing talent, including an ability to inspire and motivate others as well as to manage conflict.
- Strong business and financial acumen. Candidates need to understand economic trends in community.
- Must offer proven budget management experience and or held prior P&L responsibility.
- An understanding of real estate development and construction operations.
- Maintain, and support the Board of Directors and Executive Board; seek and build Board involvement with strategic direction for ongoing local operations.

Salary Range
$85,000-$105,000 annually. Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
