Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the organization's strategic plan in collaboration with the board of directors, setting clear goals, objectives, and measurable outcomes.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization, including program management, budgeting, financial reporting, human resources, and administration, ensuring efficient and effective functioning.
- Lead fundraising efforts by cultivating relationships with donors, sponsors, and funding agencies, writing grant proposals, organizing fundraising events, and diversifying revenue streams to ensure financial sustainability.
- Work closely with the board of directors, providing regular updates, seeking guidance, and engaging board members in strategic decision-making processes.
- Represent the organization externally, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and partner organizations, and advocate for the organization's mission and goals.
- Provide strong leadership to the organization's staff, fostering a positive work culture, promoting professional development, and ensuring effective team collaboration and performance.
- Identify and mitigate risks that may impact the organization's operations, reputation, or achievement of strategic objectives.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, best practices, and policy changes in the non-profit sector, and adapt organizational strategies accordingly.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (advanced degree preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of senior management experience in the non-profit sector
- Proven track record of successful organizational leadership, strategic planning, and program management
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including board members, staff, donors, and community partners
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Knowledge of and commitment to the organization's mission and values
