About the role
The Executive Director will serve as the chief administrative officer, working closely with the Board of Directors to execute the organization's strategic vision and oversee day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Execute the strategic vision established by the Board of Directors.
- Champion educational equity, inclusive curriculum practices, and instructional excellence.
- Oversee the organization's day-to-day operations.
- Lead the planning and execution of statewide conferences and professional learning programs.
- Manage instructional leadership networks and specialized workshops.
- Oversee marketing and member engagement initiatives.
- Partner with the Board Treasurer and administrative partners to manage the organization's budget.
- Maintain membership revenue and ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Support sustainable financial planning.
- Serve as an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors.
- Cook up board meetings, communications, and governance processes.
- Build relationships with school districts, educational organizations, vendors, and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of leadership experience in Wisconsin public education.
- Strong background in curriculum development, instructional coaching, or school administration.
- Established network within Wisconsin's K-12 education community.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and event management skills.
- Experience managing nonprofit or association budgets.
- Master's degree or higher in Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, or a related field.
- Relevant Wisconsin DPI licensure.
Pay
$17,000 annually. Part-time (0.15 FTE) stipend-based position.
