About the Role
The Executive Director is fully accountable for overseeing all community operations, ensuring quality care and services. This includes maintaining financial stability, managing budgets and cash flow, overseeing staffing, and handling daily operations in compliance with government guidelines. The role fosters an environment of high care standards and builds strong relationships with staff, residents, providers, and family members while ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the on-site executive for all operations, acting as the primary contact for staff, residents, prospects, community organizations, government agencies, and the public.
- Supervise, direct, and motivate all department directors, supervisors, and staff, maintaining training and morale.
- Maintain high resident satisfaction by delivering high-quality services consistently.
- Lead the development and implementation of community sales and operations strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Understand care regulations and support the Resident Care Program by meeting regularly with the clinical department head to address issues.
- Manage the community’s budget and cash flow, ensuring budget accountability and minimizing negative variances.
- Provide leadership for staff and residents, proactively solving problems.
- Act as the main property contact for Cogir Senior Living corporate staff, maintaining positive relationships.
- Maintain current departmental policies, procedures, and licenses in compliance with company, federal, state, and local requirements.
- Review all employee hiring, promotions, disciplinary actions, and terminations, focusing on retaining quality personnel.
- Maintain building grounds and property by supervising preventative maintenance and conducting frequent inspections.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, nursing, or human services is preferred, or a combination of education and supervisory experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality.
- Must be a Licensed Administrator in good standing (per state requirements) and meet all applicable federal and state license requirements.
- At least 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a senior living operation; hospitality experience is a plus.
- Understanding and compliance with all federal, state, and local resident rights regulations.
- Demonstrated expertise in budget management and financial planning.
- Proficiency in computer systems, CRM software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven ability to build, lead, and inspire cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a passion for serving seniors.
- High accuracy in assignments, effective time management, and high integrity.
- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends and be on-call 24/7.
- Valid driver’s license.
Pay
$145,000 - $160,000 annually.
