About the Role

The Executive Director provides leadership and direction for overall community operations to ensure delivery of quality care and resident-centered services in accordance with all laws, regulations, and Century Park standards. Implements policies for and provides oversight of Century Park’s hospitality focus, service delivery goals, and financial objectives. Manages budget to meet community needs and company goals in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Century Park standards.

Reports to the Regional Director of Operations.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age to oversee assisted living (administrator license requirement)
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
  • Three (3) or more years of successful operational experience in senior housing or hospitality preferred
  • Three (3) or more years of supervisory experience in senior services preferred
  • Must be knowledgeable of federal and state industry regulations

Responsibilities

  • Hospitality Goals: Ensures staff performs all duties with a hospitality focus, meeting and exceeding resident requests and needs
  • Operating Margin: Achieves operating margin and cash flow goals including budgeted revenue and expense goals
  • Occupancy (Sales and Marketing): Serves as Sales Manager leading sales team to achieve marketing and occupancy goals
  • Talent/Staffing:
    • Interviews, hires, trains, evaluates, supervises, supports, counsels, and develops management team
    • Ensures managers interview, hire, train, evaluate, supervise, support, counsel, and develop staff appropriately
    • Actively participates in and encourages staff retention programs, including timely evaluations and GEM program
  • Must be able to plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, benchmark, and direct staff to ensure high-quality resident care and services are delivered
  • Ensures community is compliant with all Federal, State, and local requirements
  • Serves as an effective representative for Century Park in the surrounding community
  • Ensures census goals are met
  • Prepares and operates within annual budget
  • Effectively supervises department directors
  • Exhibits excellent customer service and a positive attitude
  • Able to assist in the evacuation of residents
  • Demonstrates effective people skills with staff, residents, families, vendors, and the community
  • Able to read and interpret financial records and reports
  • Possesses the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
  • Knowledgeable of administration practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing the senior services industry
  • Able to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the administration department
  • Performs proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: daily leadership responsibilities, supervisory responsibilities, financial responsibilities, regulatory compliance, resident rights, and safety and sanitation
  • Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
  • Understands and follows company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
  • Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Century Park’s Code of Ethics and completes all required compliance training
