About the role
The Executive Director (Association Management) oversees the strategic direction and operations of an association, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and member needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance association performance and member satisfaction.
- Manage the association’s budget and financial resources effectively.
- Oversee member engagement programs and events to foster community among members.
- Represent the association at industry conferences and meetings.
- Collaborate with board members and staff to ensure effective governance and decision-making processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in association management or similar leadership roles.
- Proven track record of successful strategic planning and execution.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a diverse team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Experience in managing associations or non-profit organizations.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in association management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel as needed.
