About the role
The Executive Director is responsible for financial management, grant development, staff supervision, policy implementation, and ensuring organizational compliance.
Responsibilities
- Provides strategic leadership and oversees the organization's programs, partnerships, fundraising, and daily operations.
- Serves as the primary representative of the organization, building relationships with community partners, funders, government agencies, and the public to advance natural resource conservation and organizational goals.
Requirements
This position requires a strong background in natural resource conservation, fundraising, and nonprofit management. Experience in leadership and strategic planning is essential.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as environmental science, natural resources, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar executive-level position in a nonprofit organization.
- Proven track record of successful fundraising and grant writing.
- Experience in managing a team and supervising staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
