Position Highlights

This role independently ensures smooth department operations through highly confidential and professional executive support, necessitating a high degree of tact, discretion and diplomacy.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Independently plan, coordinate, and implement policies and procedures to support the Chief Ambulatory Officer (CAO) and the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), so that all regulatory requirements are met
  • Act as a communication liaison with UW Medicine leadership and community leaders as needed
  • Manage communication and liaison with various stakeholders, ensuring clear conveyance of the CAO's messages and managing feedback appropriately
  • Operate independently, make decisions and take actions with delegated authority to support high-level executives, including the CAO
  • Manage time-sensitive communications, which requires the ability to quickly and accurately convey information to various audiences
  • Meet the demands of competing stakeholders, each with unique needs and expectations
  • Utilize outstanding writing abilities and communicate verbally with senior leaders, staff, and the general public
  • Record, compose and edit minutes of meetings as requested
  • Independently manage both short-term tasks and long-term projects
  • Handle highly confidential and sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism
  • Serve as a confidential liaison to the Chief Ambulatory Officer and manage the executive calendar and coordinate day-to-day activities of the Chief Ambulatory Office
  • Independently arrange and coordinate committee meetings, special events, open forums, and other hospital activities
  • Schedule appropriate accommodation, order/operate equipment, and coordinate logistical activities as needed
  • Utilize various software and tools for document preparation, calendar management, and communication

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Healthcare Administration, or related degree
  • 5 years' experience supporting a C level executive
  • Equivalent experience may substitute for degree requirement

Pay

  • Pay Range Minimum: $78,000.00 annual
  • Pay Range Maximum: $106,140.00 annual
