About the role
Alvarez & Marsal is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic Executive Assistant to join our Corporate Performance Improvement (CPI) team. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to learn how senior executives and a professional services firm actually operate day to day and at a strategic level. The right candidate is highly organized, curious about how a business runs, comfortable with responsibility, and eager to learn from senior leaders. You'll work directly alongside Managing Directors and build skills that set you up for whatever comes next.
How you will contribute
Practice Support
- Support CPI Managing Directors with daily priorities including time entry, expense reports, correspondence, scheduling, calendar management, and travel arrangements
- Coordinate internal and external meetings, from one-on-ones to full staff off-sites, handling everything from room setup to catering to logistics
- Build relationships across the firm, working directly with employees and senior executives both inside and outside A&M
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes for new hires and departing team members
- Get hands-on with Excel, running analyses like event and contract comparisons
- Partner with corporate teams including IT, marketing, AR, AP, legal, and building operations to keep things running smoothly
- Take on additional projects as they come up
Local Office Support
- Be a go-to resource for day-to-day office needs: conference rooms, meal ordering, supplies, mail, and maintenance requests, working alongside the local EA team
- Help keep CPI's common areas and conference rooms polished and client-ready
- Jump in on additional duties as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, with 1-5 years of work experience
- A genuine interest in learning how a business and its leaders operate
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to juggle multiple executives and working styles
- Clear, confident written and verbal communication, comfortable engaging with senior leaders and external partners
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office; familiarity with a range of AI tools is a plus
- A sharp eye for detail and follow-through, you take pride in producing error-free work
- A problem-solver's mindset and the initiative to figure things out
- A team-first attitude and professional presence
Pay & schedule
- Hybrid role: 4 days in-office, 1 day remote
- Standard hours: 8:30am to 5:30pm
- Salary range: $60,000 - $75,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography
- Discretionary bonus program based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance
