About the role

Alvarez & Marsal is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic Executive Assistant to join our Corporate Performance Improvement (CPI) team. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to learn how senior executives and a professional services firm actually operate day to day and at a strategic level. The right candidate is highly organized, curious about how a business runs, comfortable with responsibility, and eager to learn from senior leaders. You'll work directly alongside Managing Directors and build skills that set you up for whatever comes next.

Responsibilities

  • Support CPI Managing Directors with daily priorities including time entry, expense reports, correspondence, scheduling, calendar management, and travel arrangements
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings, from one-on-ones to full staff off-sites, handling everything from room setup to catering to logistics
  • Build relationships across the firm, working directly with employees and senior executives both inside and outside A&M
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes for new hires and departing team members
  • Get hands-on with Excel, running analyses like event and contract comparisons
  • Partner with corporate teams including IT, marketing, AR, AP, legal, and building operations to keep things running smoothly
  • Take on additional projects as they come up
  • Be a go-to resource for day-to-day office needs: conference rooms, meal ordering, supplies, mail, and maintenance requests, working alongside the local EA team
  • Help keep CPI's common areas and conference rooms polished and client-ready
  • Jump in on additional duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, with 1-5 years of work experience
  • A genuine interest in learning how a business and its leaders operate
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to juggle multiple executives and working styles
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication, comfortable engaging with senior leaders and external partners
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office; familiarity with a range of AI tools is a plus
  • A sharp eye for detail and follow-through, you take pride in producing error-free work
  • A problem-solver's mindset and the initiative to figure things out
  • A team-first attitude and professional presence

Pay & Schedule

  • Hybrid role: 4 days in-office, 1 day remote
  • Standard hours: 8:30am to 5:30pm
  • Salary range: $60,000 - $75,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography
  • Discretionary bonus program based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance

Benefits

  • Healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts
  • Life, AD&D, and disability coverages
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with annual discretionary contribution from Alvarez & Marsal (eligibility requirements apply)
  • Paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave
  • Vacation and personal days available vary based on tenure and role type
