Executive Assistant, AWS Network Services Product Development
AWS Network Services Product Development, within AWS Infrastructure and Solutions, is seeking a dedicated, resourceful, and customer-obsessed Executive Assistant I to support multiple executives and broader org-level programs.
About the role
The Executive Assistant will act as an extension of the leaders, working closely with other Executive Assistants throughout AWS and externally with customers. This role supports at least two senior leaders within the organization and requires superior attention to detail, strong organization and prioritization skills, and the ability to plan ahead with ambiguity while juggling multiple critical requests. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information is essential, as is flexibility to change direction seamlessly.
The successful candidate will complete complex tasks and projects quickly with little guidance, react with urgency to situations requiring quick turnaround, and proactively solve problems affecting customers, leaders, and peers. You will take risks and make decisions without knowing the full picture.
Responsibilities
- Management of multiple complex calendars, including employees in multiple time zones, prioritizing appointments and work time according to business and executive needs.
- Extensive travel coordination (international and domestic).
- Proactively coordinate and engage with leadership in planning and organizing events, activities, and calendars.
- Act as a liaison for direct reports and business stakeholders.
- Participate in planning events and driving key team activities (e.g., staff meetings, global meetings, morale activities).
- Mentor and learn from other executive assistants within the organization and throughout AWS to drive best practices and cross-collaboration.
- Management of a variety of short-term and/or long-term projects.
- Organize, prioritize, and handle time-sensitive, confidential information, ensuring required actions are taken swiftly.
- Coordinate cost-effective travel arrangements, working with in-house travel agents and internal travel processes.
- Reconcile expenses in a timely fashion.
- Partner with recruiting, facilities, HR, Finance, and other business partners within the AWS community.
- Track and drive completion of key deliverables, including meeting notes and action item tracking.
About the team
The successful Executive Assistant will work closely with executives for the AWS Transit Gateway team, an innovative and dynamic group revolutionizing cloud networking at AWS. The Transit Gateway team has achieved remarkable success, with their advanced router solution embraced by some of AWS's largest enterprise customers. You will support innovative initiatives, including the launch of industry-first technologies like Multicast networks serving major financial institutions, stock exchanges, and media companies. The team values innovation and technical excellence, working alongside professionals passionate about building cloud infrastructure that transforms how businesses operate globally.
Requirements
- 2+ years of senior-level leadership support, or 1+ years of Amazon experience.
- Experience with executive-level calendar management.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company.
- Experience managing multiple calendars.
- Experience managing projects.
Schedule
This role is based in Seattle, WA, and requires five (5) days a week in the office.
Pay
The base salary range for this position is $80,200.00 - $97,400.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
