About the role

The Executive Administrator, Regional Operations, Oncology & Program Development serves as a key member of the ambulatory executive leadership team and provides strategic, operational, and administrative support to advance the priorities of USC Care and Keck Medicine of USC.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with strategy, marketing and business development, and operations to evaluate existing and proposed ambulatory sites to optimize network configuration, capacity utilization, and market coverage.

  • Partner with clinicians, operations, and support functions to move clinical program ideas from concept to launch to meet market demand and drive profitable growth.

  • Facilitate alignment across departments and operational leaders to ensure timely execution of strategic initiatives and priorities.

  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards and performance reporting to track progress against ambulatory strategic initiatives, service line growth targets, and operational performance metrics.

  • Activate strategic planning and growth efforts for applicable service lines and programs; translate priorities into actionable plans, overseeing the execution and tracking progress against targets.

  • Oversee dedicated operational service line administrators, where applicable.

  • Oversee clinical program planning, including assessment of community needs, market opportunities, clinical capabilities, and system capacity.

  • Leverage data to understand market demographics and competitive dynamics to inform site selection, expansion, and consolidation decisions.

  • Develop site optimization playbooks to ensure successful new market penetration, consumer awareness, and provider practice build.

  • Cook up and manage strategic initiatives involving external partners, joint ventures, and affiliations.

  • Coordinate across external and internal stakeholders to ensure strategic partnerships are operationalized effectively and managed ongoing.

  • Lead or support growth initiatives involving external partners, joint ventures, and affiliations.

  • Lead strategic initiatives, as directed by USC Care executive leadership, ensuring initiatives move from concept to operational success; partner with operations, finance, IT, and clinical leaders for initiative execution.

  • Oversee regional Oncology clinic operations, including access, clinical staffing resources, and facility management, managing site-specific operational leaders.

  • Partner with physician and clinical leaders to align operations, support providers, and advance Oncology departmental goals.

  • Partner with operational leaders to implement improvement strategies that enhance utilization, patient access, and growth across the ambulatory network.

  • Encourage communication through daily huddles, weekly staff meetings, individual meetings.

  • Physician lead, managers, etc. Assure that changes in policy and procedures are communicated both up and down the chain of command.

  • Ensure successful integration of Patient Access, CBO, USC Care, Information Systems, HR and other operating teams.

  • Work closely with Quality, Compliance and Executive Management to ensure that policies, programs and processes are developed, implemented, communicated, and consistently administered in compliance with organizational objectives and laws and regulations.

  • Develops and maintains operating/capital budgets for all oncology satellites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Health Administration, or related field.

  • 7-10 years Experience in an Ambulatory care or healthcare setting or equivalent.

  • 7-10 years Management experience.

  • Experience in creating business process improvement, standardization across multiple specialties.

  • Ability to use a consultative approach to understand business goals from variety of constituents to help organization develop and refine strategy and solutions.

  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to think globally, strategically, and objectively and experience developing and executing large scale projects and change initiatives.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills (negotiation, listening and communication skills) characterized by effective interactions with a diverse range of internal and external constituents, stakeholders and audiences.

  • Excellent decision-making skills and the ability to bridge the gap between administrative demands, clinical needs and budgetary constraints.

  • Relationship-driven, consultative, a team player, and able to effectively lead strategic initiatives.

  • Demonstrated successful experience with physician relationships.

  • Strong public relation skills and executive presence.

  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
