Program Administrator - Safety and Emergency Management - Full Time 8 Hour Days (Exempt) (Non-Union)
About the role
Develops a systematic productivity-based program to increase access, improve patient, clinician and supporting staff experience. Implements best scheduling practices to increase productivity. Utilizes historical performance data to create schedules, collaborating with management and clinician leadership to ensure streamlined operations. Conducts training for like demand flow for new programs. Serves as a liaison to operations and clinical administration to ensure alignment. Responsible for creating, executing, and monitoring a schedule management system. Administers program operations and administrative functions such as budget, policies, marketing, outreach, training etc. Contributes to the design of program content, policies and strategic planning efforts. May oversee staff, students, volunteers, agency workers and/or resource employees.
Responsibilities
- Assists business units in developing and maintaining individual department Business Continuity plans, including test exercises and training.
- Schedule and facilitate Business Continuity activities, including incident response and business impact analyses, to ensure disaster preparedness capabilities across the enterprise.
- Maintain comprehensive Business Continuity program documentation.
- Track program performance, specifically to ensure continuity of care and safety for staff, patients, visitors as well as optimum service to the community in assisting with response to a mass casualty incident.
- Prepare annual reports and analyses for presentation to executive leadership.
- Work closely with Administrative Director on the investigation process of third-party business disruption incidents resulting in financial loss to the medical enterprise (causing organization to operate under emergency operations, cause loss(es), threaten life, property, or the environment of care).
- Prepare reports, compile statistics and deliver training for assigned programs of the Environment of Care. (safety, security, life safety, utilities, medical equipment, emergency management).
- Work closely with a wide variety of hospitals, county agencies, ambulatory care, and physician practices to communicate Safety and Emergency management programs existing across the Keck Medicine network.
- Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
- Provide formal and informal training to Keck Medicine of USC staff.
- Organize and manage data analysis for the Environment of Care.
- Aid the Office of Safety and Emergency Management with special projects and programs.
- Cook up continuity communications capabilities and technology capabilities for the enterprise ensuring that systems are interoperable, robust, and reliable.
- Establish constructive working relationships with members of departmental staff by performing duties in a cooperative and helpful manner.
- Communicate clearly in conveying complex problems and proposals in both formal and informal settings.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's degree preferred.
- Two years of experience directly related to Business Continuity/Recovery program.
- Demonstrated professional experience building and interpreting Business Impact Analysis.
- Demonstrated experience in the routing and handling of mass emergency communications.
- Experience in managing, collecting information and preparing complex reporting for financial recovery data.
- Knowledge of recovery time objectives, facility recovery, information technology recovery, and human resources recovery.
Qualifications
- Master's degree preferred.
- Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) certification required if not held at time of hire.
- ABC, AHPC, or CBCP certification preferred.
