Job Summary
Lead the engineering integration of inkjet marking systems into fully functioning products.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute structured experiments to characterize system behaviors impacting printhead life, component reliability, and image quality.
- Analyse system performance and reliability data to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Drive technical investigations and continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost, quality, reliability, and overall system performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineering, controls, materials science, systems engineering, manufacturing, and supplier partners.
- Work closely with global suppliers to provide technical guidance and support throughout development, launch, and post-launch activities.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including specifications, test plans, design guides, and engineering reports.
- Support validation activities, manufacturing builds, and field investigations as needed.
Qualifications
- PhD in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in inkjet marking systems engineering or similar field.
- Experience with experimental design, data analysis, and process optimization.
- Strong understanding of printhead technologies, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
