Exceptional Education OT, PT APE Lead (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

Minimum Requirements

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Related Field
AZ IVP fingerprint clearance card
Current Arizona Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy License
Five years experience working as an OT or PT in an educational setting
Knowledge of special education state policy and federal law

Requirements Prior To Start Date

• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization
• Valid Driver's license (Arizona Driver’s License required within 30 days of hire)
• MVReport – showing no more than the allowable points against Driver’s License as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees
• Reliable mode of personal transportation with evidence of insurance compliance greater than or equal to the state required minimum for car insurance as described under Governing Board Policy: EEB-R-1 Business and Personnel Transportation Services - Transportation by Employees
• Must release Social Security Number to be eligible for AHCCS-Provider ID Number
• Bloodborne Pathogen training offered by TUSD Risk Management Department

Preferred Requirements

• Three years of experience in a large urban school district
• Three or more years of experience leading a team
• Experience with delivering professional development and managing a budget

Schedule

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
