About the role

The Quality Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring product compliance and customer satisfaction within the construction, engineering, manufacturing, and renewable energy sectors. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, this position focuses on maintaining high standards of quality while supporting customer interactions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure products comply with customer specifications, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and Excellerate standards.
  • Coordinate and lead external customer audits and visits; serve as the quality point of contact for all external visits.
  • Support and manage in-process audits to ensure compliance and assess for gaps in the manufacturing process.
  • Lead and manage product-related corrective action (CAPA) discussions and closures.
  • Engage team members and subject matter experts to address process concerns related to customer quality.
  • Develop and maintain quality plans and failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA).
  • Support the development, execution, and maintenance of control plans to ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead analysis of customer quality metric data and identify opportunities to reduce defects.
  • Collaborate with site engineers to implement improvements and lead CAPA development for repeat or systemic issues.
  • Provide feedback and documentation to customers as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a business or engineering discipline is preferred.
  • Experience: Two (2) years of related industry experience is required; Five (5) years of related industry experience is preferred.
  • Travel: 10-25% depending on company needs.
  • Work Schedule: Between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday-Friday. May require flexibility to meet business needs.

  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and ISO standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.

  • Customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Project management and organizational skills.
  • Technical writing and report preparation.

Pay

Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday-Friday. However, work may be performed at any time on any day of the week to meet business needs.
