EVS Manager

We are seeking a Mid Shift Environmental Services (EVS) Manager at Memorial Hermann‑Texas Medical Center in Houston, TX. The EVS Manager will manage associates in the Environmental Services department under the oversight of the Unit Director and serve as a liaison between hospital departments and Environmental Services to provide the highest possible level of service.

Responsibilities

• Participate in staff selection process and interview candidates as needed.
• Schedule days off, holidays, and vacations, ensuring departmental needs are met in accordance with hours and position control.
• Assign personnel to established work areas or project duties.
• Conduct quality assurance checks and manage materials inventory and general equipment use.
• Ensure staff receives proper orientation, initial training, and ongoing education.
• Provide individual guidance and motivation to enable each associate to perform to their fullest potential.
• Discipline associates when necessary according to progressive disciplinary guidelines.
• Prepare associate disciplinary and variance reports, conduct follow‑up investigations, and report findings to the Department Director.
• Prepare disciplinary action notices and conduct follow‑up as required, including disciplinary meetings with guidance from the Department Director.
• Maintain an environment that is sanitary, attractive, and orderly.
• Demonstrate and promote Xanitos’ culture, values, and management philosophy.
• Demonstrate quality leadership in meeting performance plans.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; college degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Flexibility to work some differing shifts (Mid Shift).
• Strong service/quality attitude.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Customer‑service mindset.
• Proficient in the use of Windows‑based office software.
