EVS Manager
About the role
Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking an Environmental Services (EVS) Manager to join their team at IU Health Indiana University Fort Wayne Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. The EVS Manager develops and executes facility solutions to ensure all health and safety standards are met, services and maintains the physical location to client specifications, and leads facility operations to meet objectives and client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Leadership
- Own and be accountable for operational management and financial performance of the unit.
- Coach employees by creating a shared understanding of what needs to be achieved and how.
- Reward and recognize employees; identify and develop top talent.
- Plan and lead team management meetings.
- Ensure safety and sanitation standards in all operations.
- Client Relationship
- Establish and maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships.
- Identify client needs and communicate operational progress.
- Deliver and model WEST (Welcoming, Efficient, Safe, Trustworthy) as the foundation for excellent customer service.
- Support new business and retention activities.
- Develop programs (facilities, custodial, energy, grounds, or maintenance) to meet client and customer demands.
- Financial Performance
- Build revenue and manage budget, including cost controls for labor, supply, and inventory.
- Complete and maintain financial statements for the department.
- Deliver client and company financial targets.
- Adopt Aramark processes and systems; eliminate custom/manual reports.
- Understand performance metrics, data, order, and inventory trends; educate teams on key levers to improve margins.
- Productivity
- Implement and maintain the General Manager agenda for labor and total quality management requirements.
- Create value through efficient operations, cost controls, and profit management.
- Ensure consistent application of Aramark’s operating standards and processes, focusing on sustainability efforts to reduce energy consumption and improve labor productivity.
Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet commitments.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in healthcare environmental services.
- Up to 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role (preferred).
- High school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Model key leadership behaviors and ensure high levels of safety, quality, and service excellence.
