We are seeking a 1st Shift EVS Manager for Kaiser Permanente in Redwood City, California. As an EVS Manager, you will manage the Environmental Services department associates with oversight from the Unit Director and serve as a liaison between hospital departments to provide the highest possible level of service.
Responsibilities
- Participate in staff selection process, including interviewing candidates as needed.
- Schedule days off, holidays, and vacations while ensuring account needs are met according to hours and position control.
- Assign personnel to established work areas or project duties.
- Conduct quality assurance checks and manage materials inventory and equipment use.
- Ensure staff receives proper orientation, initial training, and ongoing education.
- Provide individual guidance and motivation to staff to maximize performance.
- Discipline associates when necessary according to progressive disciplinary guidelines.
- Prepare associate disciplinary and variance reports, conduct follow-up investigations, and report findings to the Department Director.
- Prepare disciplinary action notices and conduct follow-up as required.
- Conduct disciplinary meetings with associates with guidance from the Department Director.
- Maintain a sanitary, attractive, and orderly environment.
- Demonstrate and promote Xanitos’ culture, values, and management philosophy.
- Demonstrate quality leadership in meeting performance plans.
Requirements
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required; college degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Management experience required; EVS Healthcare Management experience preferred.
- Strong service/quality attitude and communication skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Proficient in the use of Windows-based office software.

Pay
The expected salary range for this position is $85,000 to $90,000, depending on skills, qualifications, degrees, certifications, prior job experience, training, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission if applicable.
