About the Role
Manages work activities of cleaning personnel within the Environmental Services Department, either directly or through subordinate supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Supervises preparation of work schedules for EVS staff.
- Trains staff in all necessary EVS tasks according to EVS procedures.
- Monitors performance of staff and adherence to casino policies and procedures.
- Issues supplies and equipment as required.
- Arranges for repair of cleaning equipment.
- Maintains and updates cleaning supplies inventory.
- Submits requisitions for cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
- Coordinates activities of outside vendors providing services and/or equipment for the casino environment.
- Serves as liaison between the casino and Maintenance.
- May perform duties of supervisors and staff as required.
- Complies with the Standard Operating Procedures within the Environmental Services Department.
- Manages subordinate supervisors who supervise employees of the EVS Department, including overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of EVS staff.
- Provides excellent guest service.
- Adheres to all Tribal Ordinance, Regulations, and the ACRM and ACPS System of Internal Controls, and Standard Operating Procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 4-6 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience, with 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Must be able to communicate in English.
- Must have knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner.
Working Conditions
- Must be able to stand, move, and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1 mile, climbing stairs, and sitting at a desk/work station for the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment.
- Typically housed in an office environment; noise level is usually moderate but may escalate in the casino environment.
- Must be able to grasp, bend, lift, and/or carry or otherwise move goods weighing a minimum of 25 lbs. on an intermittent basis.
- Requires sufficient dexterity of hand to use office equipment, including computers, calculators, and multi-line telephones.
