Encompass Health seeks an Environment Services Supervisor to oversee housekeeping and laundry services, ensuring compliance with regulations and upholding our hospital's mission. Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise operations of the Environmental Services Department to maintain cleanliness and compliance with TJC, federal, state, and local regulations.
• Support and motivate staff, holding them accountable for performance and fostering an inclusive and respectful work environment.
• Manage inventory to optimize the cost of supplies and maintain equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience required; healthcare experience preferred.
• Previous management/supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate, analyze, and make decisions in a detail-oriented manner.
• Capacity to work independently and effectively without continuous supervision.
• Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 50 pounds, including medical supplies and equipment, and the transferring and repositioning of patients.
• Proficiency in general office equipment and compliance with standards of business conduct.
