About the role

The EVS Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the facility, including all aspects of the Environmental Services (EVS) team, to ensure company brand standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient use of departmental resources.
• Assist with hiring, training, development, and efficient management of the Facilities staff.
• Review EVS activities to gauge and improve staffing levels, working conditions, and other factors influencing quality guest service and profitability.
• Interpret company policies to team members and enforce safety regulations.
• Evaluate and coach team members regarding performance and professional development.
• Communicate with other department supervisors to coordinate cleaning and event support activities.
• Direct and ensure cleanliness and sanitation in both Front of House and Back of House areas.
• Inspect the environment to ensure it meets minimum best practices throughout the organization.
• Ensure operations are OSHA and Hazcom compliant, including maintenance of departmental MSDS sheets.
• Review guest complaints/concerns and take appropriate action.
• Plan and conduct team member meetings; attend related meetings to obtain and disseminate pertinent information.
• Ensure all machinery is operated according to manufacturers' instructions, properly cleaned, and serviced periodically.
• Deliver internal and external guest service.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of related supervisory experience, preferably in the entertainment or hospitality industry.
• Ability to work as part of a team and help build and maintain a strong team environment.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Obtain a KY Racing license.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with internal departments.
• Must be able to work a varied schedule, including days, nights, and weekends.
• Familiarity with and ability to use most commercial cleaning equipment.
• Ability to think critically over departmental issues and offer cost-effective solutions.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Maintain professional working relationships among personnel.
