EVS Housekeeping (Full Time)

About the role

The EVS Housekeeping Tech is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, safe, and orderly environment throughout the hospital to support patient safety, infection prevention, and quality patient care. The EVS Tech performs routine and terminal cleaning of patient rooms, offices, hallways, restrooms, and other designated areas in accordance with hospital policies, infection prevention standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. The EVS Tech properly handles and disposes of waste, replenishes supplies, operates cleaning equipment, and follows established procedures for the use of chemicals and personal protective equipment. The EVS Tech maintains confidentiality, demonstrates professional conduct, and works cooperatively with hospital staff to promote a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and employees.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning in assigned areas following established schedules and prescribed methods.
• Cleans and services nurses stations, patient rooms, restrooms, and offices.
• Cleans and dusts furniture and equipment.
• Cleans windows, empties trash baskets, and arranges furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion.
• Scours and polishes bathtubs, sinks, mirrors, and similar equipment.
• Replenishes supplies of soap and towels.
• Polishes and cleans doors and windows.
• Vacuums, dust mops, and wet mops all patient rooms and restrooms each day.
• Promotes team work daily, communicates and reports problems and concerns to the Manager.
• Performs other related job duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or GED state certification or similar demonstrated ability preferred but not required.

Experience: Work-related experience desired but not required.

Full-time position; hours vary with some weekend work required. Shift: Other.
