EVS Assistant Director

About the role

Xanitos is seeking a 2nd Shift EVS Assistant Director in Lansing, MI. As an Assistant Director, you will oversee the operational needs of the EVS Department, coordinate tasks, ensure staff training, schedule staff, and act as administrative liaison.

Responsibilities

• Establish and annually review standards and work procedures for all EVS staff.
• Plan work schedules, hours, areas of work and job duties to ensure adequate EVS services.
• Select, hire, evaluate, and recommend termination of facility EVS personnel.
• Orientate, train, and supervise supervisory/EVS staff.
• Inspect and evaluate physical condition of facility; recommend painting, repairs, and furnishings.
• Provide monthly administrative progress reports.
• Schedule major project work, ensuring adequate staff and supplies.
• Maintain and establish annual standards and work procedures for all EVS staff.
• Coordinate all outside services related to the EVS department.
• Discipline associates when necessary.
• Maintain a sanitary, attractive, and orderly environment.
• Demonstrate and promote Xanitos' culture, values, and management philosophy.
• Demonstrate quality leadership in meeting performance plans.

Qualifications

• Four year college degree or equivalent work experience.
• Two to four years supervisory experience in EVS or service-related field with high customer/client contact.
