About the role
The Clemson University College of Education seeks highly qualified candidates to fill part-time, as-needed course instruction needs in the Department of Teaching and Learning. This opportunity involves teaching one or more courses during spring, summer, and/or fall terms, with modalities ranging from in-person to asynchronous online. The start date varies based on departmental teaching needs.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in undergraduate program areas, including:
- Early Childhood Education
- Elementary Education
- Middle Level Education (Language Arts, Social Studies, Mathematics, and Science)
- Secondary Education (English, Mathematics, Social Studies/History, and Science)
- Modern Languages Education (American Sign Language, French, and Spanish)
- Teach graduate-level courses in:
- Master of Arts in Teaching Programs (Middle Level, Secondary, and Modern Languages)
- Master of Education Program in Teaching and Learning
- For qualified applicants, provide instruction in doctoral-level content, including dissertation writing and support.
- Demonstrate a commitment to inclusive teaching and creating an inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a related field (minimum qualification)
- Doctoral or terminal degree in a related field (required to teach in graduate-level programs)
- Expertise in content aligned with a departmental program area
- Commitment to working alongside persons with diverse backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous higher education teaching experience
- Experience teaching in the modality in which the course is offered
- Practical experience in an applied field aligned with a departmental program area
