About the role

Everett Transit is seeking dedicated and skilled operators to join our team. Our operators provide essential trip planning and wayfinding information, along with local and regional tourism knowledge, a warm smile, and safe vehicle operation.

Responsibilities

• Operate a passenger bus over an assigned route on a designated schedule
• Provide door-to-door service for ADA and senior customers
• Pick up and drop off passengers at designated stops or planned locations
• Fare collection: digital fare payment via ORCA card, and exact cash fare payment
• Offer information concerning routes, transit times, and transfer points
• Aid customers with boarding and exiting the vehicle as necessary
• Care for and turn in lost articles
• Complete accident and other reports as necessary

Requirements

• Must be insurable under the City's special policy (21+ years old on or before filing date closes)
• Valid Washington State Driver License
• Washington State Commercial Driver License (CDL) within 30 days of training period
• CDL Class B permit: passenger endorsement, air brake restriction removed
• Everett Transit provides CDL training
• Pass a practical exam demonstrating physical ability to perform required duties

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a background screening
• Medical examination
• Pre-hire submission of driving/accident record check (DOL Driver Abstract)

Pay

Schedule

Shifts vary based on the route and can include early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
