Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood is the flagship casino resort of Hard Rock International, owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida. This world-renowned entertainment, gaming, and hospitality destination features a $1.5 billion expansion completed in 2019, including 1,271 upscale guestrooms, a 42,000 square-foot Rock Spa® & Salon, a 13.5-acre recreational lagoon, 19 dining outlets, 20 bars and lounges, a 3,100-slot gaming floor, 195 table games, a 45-table poker room, 120,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, and a 7,000-person Hard Rock Live entertainment venue. Located on 87 acres of the Hollywood Seminole Reservation, the resort is 10 minutes from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport and 30 minutes from downtown Miami.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts themselves in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida/departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assists in the formulation of theme, format, and budget specifications for specific promotions.
  • Executes promotions inside the casino hotel, assisting patrons participating in promotions.
  • Ensures promotion/event areas are stocked with necessary supplies, decorations, and secures items at the conclusion of each event.
  • Ensures collateral materials for promotions and events are displayed prior to and recovered at the conclusion of each project.
  • Establishes reports and systems to monitor actual expenses compared to budget and takes necessary action to meet budget guidelines.
  • Assists management in disseminating information about events to all impacted operating departments.
  • Interfaces with operating departments to ensure timely coordination of all events.
  • Executes budgets for individual promotions, records expenditures, and charts budget variances.
  • Maintains security and confidentiality of files, records, and lists.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • College degree in Marketing, Hospitality, or Event Management preferred.
  • Strong guest relations experience of at least two years required.
  • Three years of relevant experience in a casino environment, promotions, productions, public speaking, or special events strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, including Outlook and Excel required.

Skills

  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, hear, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Effective communication with guests in English, specific to position duties.
  • Ability to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays without consecutive days off.

Work Environment

  • Exposure to casino-related environmental factors, including secondhand smoke and excessive noise.
  • Fast-paced, hectic, and often crowded and noisy environment with constant exposure to the general public.
